Shane MacGowan's mom kicks the bucket in fender bender

The mother of The Pogues frontman Shane MacGowan has kicked the bucket in an auto accident in the Republic of Ireland.

Therese MacGowan, 87, was killed when the auto she was driving struck a divider in Ballintogher on New Year's Day, police said.

MacGowan, the auto's sole tenant, was declared dead at the scene close to her home in Silvermines at around 3pm, they included.

A representative for A Garda Síochána, Ireland's national police drive, said the crash was being dealt with as a mishap. "It would give off an impression of being a solitary auto accident with a divider," he said.

MacGowan's body has been taken to Limerick College healing facility, where an after death will be completed on Monday.

She had two kids, Shane and Siobhán, with her significant other Maurice. The couple met in Dublin and moved to Britain, and Shane was conceived in Kent in 1957. They later returned home to Tipperary, where Shane spent a lot of his adolescence.

Shane, 59, was the lead vocalist of Irish punk band The Pogues. The gathering is referred to for hits, for example, Children's story of New York and A Couple of Cocoa Eyes.

It has been accounted for that the vocalist has as of late endured weakness. A year ago he was raced to healing center after he broke his pelvis amid a live execution.
